Rokuro UMEWAKA (the 54th) (梅若六郎 (54世))
Rokuro UMEWAKA, the 54th (April 28, 1878 - August 16, 1959) was a Nohgakushi (Noh actor) playing shite (principal roles) of Kanze-ryu school. Minoru UMEWAKA, the second.
The second son of Minoru UMEWAKA, the first. His older brother was Manzaburo UMEWAKA (the first). He was adopted by his brother-in-law Rokuro UMEWAKA, the 53rd and succeeded to the Rokuro UMEWAKA family. 1948: Retired and succeeded to Minoru UMEWAKA, the second. 1955: Became a member of the Japan Art Academy.
His first son was Rokuro UMEWAKA (the 55th).
